Skybox AI

What it does

Once the integration is active, Skybox AI is offered in Generate a 360 image, in the 360 Picture tab of the Studio's media manager.

• The prompt the creator writes, and the chosen Skybox AI model, are sent to Skybox AI with your API key. Skybox AI creates the image and Uptale adds it to the experience's media.
• Skybox AI is a separate service: Skybox AI's own terms apply, and generation uses your Skybox AI account. See Data & privacy.
• Learners only see the finished image, like any other 360° image in the experience: they don't need Skybox AI.

Requirements

• An active Skybox AI account for your organisation, able to generate images.
• An API key created in that Skybox AI account (see Blockade Labs' own documentation).
• An Environment Administrator of your Uptale environment, to enter the key. No action from Uptale is needed.

Set up the Skybox AI integration

Your Environment Administrator sets up the integration once for the whole environment.

1. Open the Administration menu, click the Integration tab, then Open details on the SkyboxAI card (category Creation and AI tool).
2. Click Configure this integration, then Edit.
3. Enter your Skybox AI API Key and click Save and activate. To save the key without activating the integration yet, click Save instead.

The State changes to Activated. From then on, Skybox AI is offered to everyone who can edit experiences in your environment: Environment Administrators, Workspace Administrators and Creators.

Once saved, the key is masked: it isn't displayed again.

Change the key or turn it off

• Replace the key: open the integration, click Edit, enter the new key and click Save.
• Turn it off: switch off Configuration activation. The key is kept, and you can switch it back on at any time.
• Remove it: click Delete configuration. The saved key is removed; to use Skybox AI again, set it up from the start.

Generate a 360° image with Skybox AI

1. Open the experience in the Studio, then open the media manager and select 360 Picture.
2. Click Generate a 360 image.
3. Enter a Media name.
4. Under Prompt, select Skybox AI as the AI model, if the list is shown.
5. Choose a Skybox AI model: each one gives a different style of image.
6. Describe the whole surrounding scene in the prompt field. The maximum length depends on the Skybox AI model; a counter shows how many characters you have left.
7. Optionally:
   • leave Enhance prompt on (the default) to let Skybox AI enrich your description;
   • switch on Negative prompt and describe what you want to exclude from the image.
8. Click Generate image.

The image appears in the 360 Picture media of the experience and is ready once processing ends. Your prompt is used as its alt text. Use it as a scene background like any other 360° image.

If the result doesn't suit you, adjust the prompt or try another Skybox AI model, then generate a new image.

Limits

• The result can vary, even with the same prompt: review every image before you use it.
• The maximum prompt length depends on the Skybox AI model.
• Generation depends on your Skybox AI account: if it can no longer generate images, generation fails.
