LTI (Learning Tool Interoperability) is a standard integration protocol between LMS and external tools. Learning Tools Interoperability | IMS Global Learning Consortium
Here, the external tool is Uptale.
We can configure Uptale in Moodle as an external tool, which will enable native communication between Moodle and Uptale to complete modules, identify users, and report data.
Activating LTI Plugin
If the native Moodle LTI plugin is not enabled, here are the steps to follow:
Go in Site administration -> Plugins -> Plugins overview
Search for External tool (mod_lti) et see if the plugin is enabled
If it is not, go to Site administration -> Plugins -> Activity modules -> Manage activities
Search for External tool, and enable it

Go to Site administration -> Plugins -> Activity modules -> External tool -> Manage tools
Click on Configure a tool manually
Enter this information in the following fields :

Once all the settings have been entered, click on Save changes
Share the client ID and the Moodle information
Once the configurations have been entered, Moodle will automatically generate a client ID, which you will need to provide to us to finalize the integration.
To retrieve them, display the tool's configuration information and send us all the information displayed.

Once this information has been shared, you can wait for confirmation from us that the configuration has been activated so that you can add modules.
Add an Uptale course to Moodle
Click on Add an activity or resource
Select the preconfigured external tool « Uptale »
In the activity, click on Select content
The Uptale content selection window will appear. Select the desired content and then click on Select.
The name and description of the activity will be filled in automatically.
In the Grade section, we send the maximum note that the module can achieve.
Configure the « Grade to pass » if needed.
Configure the « Completion conditons » according to your needs.
