The Windows version of the Uptale Player allows you to play Uptale experiences on your PC with or without a tethered headset.

Use the application with a tethered Virtual Reality headset
To use the application with a tethered Virtual Reality headset, you need to install Steam and SteamVR on your PC.
- Visit https://store.steampowered.com/ to create your account and install Steam.
- Launch Steam, log in
- Go to Library > Tools. Search for "SteamVR" and launch the installation.
Once SteamVR is installed and running, you can simply launch the Uptale application on Windows with your headset plugged in to have a VR experience.
You just need to launch the UptalePlayer.exe in the folder you extracted. On your desktop you will be prompted to choose between the Full VR mode or the Desktop one. If you choose:
- Full VR mode: You can now put on your headset and enjoy the application, choose and launch experiences in VR.
- Classic mode: The application will run on your desktop for the menu navigation, you will be able to launch any experience.
Once an experience is running, you can click on the VR goggles at the bottom right to send the experience in your plugged headset. In both cases, pressing the Escape key of your keyboard will allow you to quit the current experience, switch out of the VR mode, or exit the application
