An integration connects your organisation's Uptale environment (its own space on the Uptale platform) to another tool: a learning management system (LMS) or an XR platform that launches Uptale experiences, or an AI creation tool used in the Uptale Studio. Each integration is a card on the environment's Integration tab. This page explains how the tab works and who sets up each card, and links to each card's article.
The Integration tab
Where it is and who sees it
Open your environment and click the Integration tab, also available from the Administration menu. Only Environment Administrators see this tab and manage its cards. If you work in an IT or LMS team without an Uptale account, ask your Environment Administrator to open it with you.
- The tab only shows the cards available to your environment: some cards only appear once Uptale has made them available.
- Search by name, or filter with Categories: LMS or Creation and AI tool. XR platforms are listed under LMS.
- On a card, click Open details to read its description, see its state and, for a self-service card, set it up.
- Can't find the tool you use? Click Request a new integration, or write to support@uptale.io.
What a card's state means
The State shows on each card and on its details page.

| Activated | The integration works in your environment. |
| Deactivated | The integration isn't set up yet, or it's set up but turned off. |
| In error | The connected service refused a request. The details page shows Error with your integration. with the reason. Fix the problem, then click Clear error. |
| Unknown | The state couldn't be read. Reload the page. |
Who sets up each card
Self-service cards
Connected SCORM, Moodle LTI, HeyGen and SkyboxAI are set up by your Environment Administrator, from the card's details page, with no action from Uptale. For Moodle LTI, your Environment Administrator works with your Moodle administrator, and Uptale support can help.
- Set it up: if the page shows No configuration required, you can activate this integration right away., switch on Configuration activation. Otherwise, click Configure this integration, fill in the fields, then click Save and activate.
- Turn it off: switch off Configuration activation. The settings are kept.
- Delete it: click Delete configuration. The saved settings are removed; to use the integration again, set it up from the start.
Note: Turning off or deleting an integration affects everyone in your environment straight away.
Cards set up with Uptale
Every other card needs a setup specific to your environment, done by Uptale with your IT or LMS team. Its details page has no setup button, or shows To set up this integration, please contact support@uptale.io.
- Read the card's article (see All the cards): it says what your IT or LMS team must provide.
- Write to support@uptale.io with the integration you want and your environment's name.
Cards marked on request only appear on your tab once Uptale has made them available to your environment.
API keys and credentials
- Use your organisation's account with the provider, not a personal one: the integration works for everyone in your environment through that account.
- Keys are hidden once saved. A saved API key or secret is masked and isn't displayed again. To replace it, open the integration, click Edit, enter the new key and click Save.
- AI creation tools are separate services. What creators type (a script or a prompt) is sent to that provider. See Data & privacy.

An XR platform distributes and launches VR content on headsets, and may also manage the devices.

Troubleshooting
I don't see the Integration tab
Only Environment Administrators see it. Ask your Environment Administrator to open it with you.
The tab is empty, or the card I need isn't there
An empty tab shows Available integrations will appear here: no integration is available to your environment yet. Cards available on request only appear once Uptale has made them available. Write to your usual Uptale contact or to support@uptale.io.
I can't save the configuration
You see Required configuration fields are missing. Fill in every required field, such as the API Key, then save again.
The card shows In error
Read the message on the details page. With an AI creation tool, the API key is most often no longer valid, or your account with the provider has no credits left. Fix it with the provider or enter a new key, then click Clear error.
